o level physics practical

ms lim spotted the EXACT same question (question 2) and so we were all grinning from ear to ear when we entered the laboratory and saw the apparatus. we were speculating if electricity was coming out earlier while waiting in the library since it was supposed to be the combined science practical. i had fun rolling the marble down the ramp and taking the timing. finishing way before time, i read the other question while waiting for the change over.

the first question's method 2 was tough. i couldn't see the image of the head of the optical pin. all
i could see was my face and myself moving up and down trying to locate the image. when i finally saw the image and shifted the mirror with the lens, i accidentally shifted it again when i continued with the experiment. that's not all, i had a hard time lowering the clamp of the retort stand to find the focal length of the lens. in the end, i lowered the clamp till it can't go lower anymore. i knew i was doing the wrong thing then. i only knew what i was doing during the last four minutes. but then, i still missed teacher's answer. she got 12 point something for method one and 16 point something for method 2. i got 13.6 and 17.7 respectively! sighs.

and i guess my linear law's getting rusty. sketched the graph with the wrong axis for the "plan an experiment" part.

i was worried about this practical yesterday and i had insomnia. that's not funny. even when i slept, i dreamt about the practical. gosh! and i'm so tired when doing the experiment. but i'm so proud of myself because i didn't break down or give up like usual. i persisted =) haha.

hey, not fair! i heard all the combinations for next year's secondary three classes are fantastic! it's like my dream combination!! pure geography ( i heard. but i thought the school has been worrying if we can cope with pure humanities since our english is like.. well.. ya.), pure chemistry and biology/ pure chemistry and physics. and they might have 5 amaths classes now. so on and so forth. i'll pick 3E2 if given a choice. partly because it's my dream combination and i know which teachers are teaching the class. it's like so pathetic during our times, we had to fight for that ONE pure science class! end up only 20 over people chose E1 as 1st choice when 51 people are eligible because the majority are afraid of stress. well, i love the combinations for next year. unfair! but they'll have to do SPA for 'o' level practicals. haha.
